Ministry Partner to Host Vision Dinner

Longtime Ministry Partner Floyd Mays to Host CEF Virginia’s Vision Dinner

RICHMOND, Va. — Child Evangelism Fellowship® of Virginia (CEF Virginia) announced today that Floyd Mays, a Choice Financial Group partner and longtime financial supporter of the ministry, will serve as host of the evening for its upcoming Vision Dinner, to be held November 5 at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond.

Mays has supported CEF Virginia for more than a decade, since first learning the organization could enter public schools after hours to teach children about Jesus. As his prosperity grew, so did his giving, until its size led him to ask whether he was directing his tithe as God intended.

That question was answered, Mays says, on a Sunday morning several years ago, when a young girl of about nine walked forward alone at his church to accept Christ. After a long conversation, the pastor told the congregation, “She really knows what she is doing,” and asked where she had learned so much. Her answer: Child Evangelism Fellowship.

For Mays, the moment served as clear confirmation of his giving. “God effectively said to me, ‘Floyd, you are on the right track. Please continue,'” he recalled. “That is what I have done, and I have been blessed beyond measure.”

Mays is inviting the community to join him at this year’s Vision Dinner to learn firsthand about the work of CEF Virginia. “I invite you to join me in supporting a ministry that appears to be very dear to our Lord,” Mays said. “Come to our Vision Dinner, enjoy a great dinner, and learn more about the amazing work God is doing through CEF of VA. You will be the richer for it.”

The Vision Dinner will bring together supporters, prospective partners and friends of the ministry for an evening dedicated to sharing the impact of CEF Virginia’s work reaching children with the Gospel across the Commonwealth.
