What is a Good News Club?

Good News Club is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community centers, churches, apartment complexes. Just about anywhere that children can easily and safely meet with their parent’s permission you could find a Good News Club. Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press. This action-packed time includes songs, Scripture memory, a missions story, review games and other activities focused on the lesson’s theme. There are many Good News Clubs in Virginia. Please, contact us today to find one close to you.

Start Your Child on the Journey

As with all CEF ministries, the purpose of Good News Clubs is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. In light of that goal, we disciple them in the Word of God. In conjunction, we connect them to a local church for Christian living. Because of your generous support, CEF VA has many Good News Clubs in Virginia.

We partner with local churches to bring Good News Clubs to Virginia. Because of this, we are blessed to have many churches involved as a part of their own children’s ministry. The Good News Clubs of CEF VA compliment the efforts of our churches and seek to reach children outside the church walls.

A child’s moral compass is set by age 9.

Can we really teach the Bible in public schools?

Yes! The Gospel has been taught freely in public schools all over the world for some time. Now children in the U.S. have that opportunity, too! In 2001, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Good News Clubs v. Milford Central School that Good News Clubs can meet in public schools in the United States during non-instructional time on the same terms as other community groups. Children attend Good News Club only with their parents’ permission.
