How well do you handle difficulties? I am grateful for God’s faithful navigation through the constant changes and challenges of life. One thing I know; I can’t do it on my own. I need Christ my Lord to be my anchor.
I love what God says in Psalm 91:14-15:
Because he holds fast to me in love, I will
deliver him; I will protect him, because he
knows my name. When he calls to me, I will
answer him; I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
As I hold fast to God, He holds fast to me— He delivers, protects, answers, rescues, and honors. Wow! God promises His presence. Because of what the Lord Jesus has done, we can stand firm in faith. Let us encourage one another to hold fast to God. He is good. Our earthly family may discourage our faith, but love and comfort mark the family of God.
Our Lord, our anchor, strengthens us to accomplish His plans. We are His workmanship (Ephesians 2:10) who can accomplish the ministry He has set before us. We can reach out as His witnesses, no matter how difficult the community, knowing He will go with us. As we press forward in new endeavors, let us look for the blessings God gives. After all, He “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think…” (Ephesians 3:20).
Christ our Lord anchors our lives in Him to grow our faith—
- in the midst of our families
- as we accomplish His ministry
- as we witness in difficult communities
- as we embark on new endeavors.
Let us praise Him for the blessings of His protection, provision, and presence, as well as the special fruit He produces.
Yours for all the children,
Rev. Jeremiah Cho
